Here
is something we may have forgotten.
In
1998 the House of Representatives brought Articles of Impeachment
against sitting President William Clinton. The major charges were
perjury and obstruction of justice. It seems that Bill had allowed
oral sex from a woman named Monica Lewinsky several times in the
White House and other locations. He gave sworn testimony saying “I
did not have sexual relations with that woman.” The same charges
were made with a woman named Paula Jones that Bill had known back in
Arkansas and Bill had the same response. There was several votes but
there as never enough to kick him out of office. As you might
suspect the votes were split almost exactly down party lines with
those voting against removal saying “it would not be good for the
country.” They came within 8 votes of an expulsion. Bill was only
the third American President to be impeached. The other two as
Andrew Johnson and Richard Nixon. By the way, impeachment mean
“Charged with a Crime or malfeasance in office”. Bill was
censured and left to finish his term in office. Censured is a slap
on the wrist but the chief prosecutor said in part “Not prosecuting
to the fullest extent of the law for lying under oath by the
President of the United States presents a dangerous precedent”.
The issue was not if Bill had committed these acts but whether or not
he lied about them under oath. The prosecutor had taped
conversations of Monica Lewinsky talking with one of her friends
about what had happened with her and Bill. In one of the
conversations Monica said “If this continues I am going to have to
get some knee pads.” Nothing more was heard from Monica, however
Paula Jones filed a civil suit against Bill. The original charge was
disallowed but Paula appealed. Before the appellant process ended
Bill settled with Paula for $850,000. This man may end up back in
the White House in a position of influence and trust....believe it or
not. How stupid can we be?
42
year old Christine Hubbs out in Pleasanton, California had been
really busy. A while back she hit on her daughter’s 14 year old
boyfriend successfully and tried the same thing with one of her
daughter’s other 14 year old male friends also successfully. In
the time period between Christmas of 2009 and July 2010 she had 67
sexual encounters with these two dazzled boys. Christine is a
looker, y’all, a real blond beauty, look her up on Google. This
girl bought these kids pellet guns, water guns and various other toys
that would be attractive to a male that age. The price these boys
had to pay was to provide her with various sexual acts on a regular
basis. The trysts took place at various locations like her car,
house, hotels, forests, golf courses at night, etc. She has been
arrested and charged with 67 incidents of statutory rape. Her
husband and neighbors were stunned when she was arrested because none
of them knew anything was going on. If we do a little math we find
that all of this took place in a 6 or 7 month time span meaning that
this girl was serviced about 10 times a month by these two kids or
about five times each. She was getting sex about three times a week
plus what her husband was providing. Is she over-sexed? I don’t
think so but she is looking at some hard time and I am not talking
about rigidity.

Earlier in 1935 a man child was born in Tupelo, Mississippi. He
was a twin but his brother named Jesse died at birth. He was born
and raised in a dirt poor environment and eventually assumed a job as
a truck driver but his real love was music. As with many
musician/singers he got his early training in the choir of his
fundamental church. That’s right folks; I am speaking about Elvis
Aron Presley. One day a 19 year old Elvis walked into the office of
Sun Records in Memphis and paid $4.00 to cut four religious songs as
a birthday present for his mother. The owner of the recording
studio, Sam Phillips, was enamored by Elvis’ rough voice and touch
of rhythm and blues he added to his songs and invited Elvis to come
back and cut a record with a studio band backing him up. Elvis did
indeed return and cut the rhythm and blues classic “That’s all
right, Mama” but with a country and western flair. Sam released
the record to the local radio stations and it immediately went to the
top of the charts and Elvis’ career was launched. Then he cut
“Heartbreak Hotel” that went to the top of the national charts
and the name of Elvis Presley was on everyone’s lips. If ever
there was a phenomenon and instant success, it was Elvis. An example
was when Elvis went on the Ed Sullivan Show and sang as usual for a
fee of $1,500. Sullivan was incensed because of Elvis’ rotating
hips and swore that he would never have on the show again. About
three months later Elvis was riding the crest of popularity and
Sullivan relented and called Elvis’ agent trying to book him but
would only allow him to be shown from the waist up. Elvis’ agent,
“Colonel” Tom Parker said that would be satisfactory and then
asked Sullivan was sitting down. Sullivan said that he was and then
Parker said that Elvis’ fee would now be $70,000. Sullivan
screamed and said that he would never pay such a fee to anyone.
Three months later Elvis appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show for the
tidy sum of $90,000. Elvis’ career was a spectacular one and never
relented even when he was drafted in the army for two year. After he
was discharged his career continued its upward spiral. After a while
the public began to notice puffiness around his face, neck and waist.
He was getting fat. His career began a downward slope at that
point. He gave fewer and fewer concerts and spent more and more time
at his mansion “Graceland” in Memphis. We did not know it then
but Elvis was addicted to prescription drugs, especially uppers and
downers. On this date, his body was found in Graceland and his
autopsy said that he had overdosed of a mixture of prescription
drugs. The King was dead at the age of 42. What a damned shame.
Sometimes I wonder if some people make a deal with the devil, their
soul for fame and fortune.
1896
Old George Carmack had departed Seattle headed north looking for
gold. He ran into a dead end but he ran into another miner that said
he heard that there was a rumor that there was gold in the area of
the Klondike River up in the Yukon Territory. So George headed up
that way. One day he is salmon fishing in a branch of the Klondike
River when he spotted a gold nugget jutting out of the bank. George
had two other partners and he called them over and they begin mining
in earnest and eventually all three of them leave the Klondike as
multi-millionaires.
1928
On this date one of the most evil men in American history, George
Panzram, is arrested in Washington, DC. George had killed at least
20 people and had started his career at the age of eight when he was
sent to a juvenile facility because he insisted on getting drunk time
and again. He was sent back at the age of 12 for theft and 14 for
the same thing. He killed his first person at the age of 17. When
he was arrested he told the arresting officers that he was planning a
way to kill as many people as he could with as little danger to
himself as possible. Seven of his murder victims were boys less than
13 years old. After being sentenced to death by hanging and
returning to prison, he said that if anyone irritated him he would
kill them. Sure enough he got into a squabble in the prison laundry
and killed another inmate with a steel bar. When he went onto the
gallows for his hanging, his executioner asked if he had any last
words. He said “Get on with it you damned Hoosier; I could have
killed three people by the time you keep fooling around.” The
trapdoor opened and thus ended the life of George Panzram.
Thanks
for listening I can hardly wait until tomorrow
