Tuesday

Good morning,

Quote of the day:

Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.”

                                                              Helen Keller

I went to see the movie “America” Sunday afternoon. The author and his staff present a strong case that Obama and his administration are in the process of attempting to disassemble the USA and reassemble it into a 3rd world socialist nation similar to those Balkan countries that used to be under the heel of the Soviet Union. The producer begins with listing the “crimes” that America committed in the formation of the nation and thereafter...like the rape of the Native Americans, slavery, stealing land from Mexico, etc. He states correctly that the Native Americans were overcome not my conquest but by disease like smallpox, tuberculosis, etc., for which the Indians had no natural defense. The same thing happened in Europe in the 14th century when the returning Crusaders brought bubonic plague to Europe from Asia. The Europeans had no natural defense and nearly 1/3 of the European population died in the resulting epidemic. He also points out that the Indians had been taking over each others lands by conquest since before written history. My recent research on the Comanche confirms that once they captured and tamed the Spanish mustangs they were unbeatable by the other nearby tribes and they did not hesitate to take advantage of it. They slaughtered the Kiowa, Apache, Navaho and Arapaho among others including white settlers and eventually ended up with a “ranchiero” of buffalo country that spanned 250,000 square miles. That is conquest, y'all. The movie also took issue with the USA “stealing” big chunks of land from Mexico in the Mexican war of the 1840's. It is true that Mexico owned land all the way up the California coast to what is now Oregon, parts of what is now Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas which they lost during this war. The question is how did Mexico end up with all this land? They did it buy conquest, y'all, just like the Comanche. They were not invited by the Indians...they took it by force. It is historical fact the the plains Indians squabbled for centuries as to who owned what “hunting ground” and they had wars about it. I guess the only way I could could give a short description of this movie is to say “Think about what the world would be like without America.” I can assure you that there are more people attempting to emulate America than there are otherwise. America had the first democratic republic form of government in history and somehow made it work. How? Entrepreneurship. This means that you are the captain of your own ship. You can make as much money as your imagination and sweat will allow or you can go down with the ship. By the way, the movie pointed out that the first millionaire female in the USA was a black woman selling her hand made cosmetics door to door which grew into a mega-business. Like I said entrepreneurship. The author also pointed out that slavery in the USA was not just us honkies but at one time there were as many black slave owners as there were whites. One of the most dreaded plantation owners in the USA was a black man in South Carolina. The movie ended with the playing of the National Anthem by a rock band with the lead singer screaming “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” I stood up teary-eyed while it was playing and so did many others. I suggest that all of you see it regardless of your political leanings, it will have an effect. Like I have said “I am GLAD that I will not be here to see the end of this great experiment in freedom and liberty...but if there is a revolution, I am SORRY I will not be here.” By the way, the producer of this movie is an East Indian (India) immigrant...and so is the parents of the Governor of South Carolina.

I wrote this item very early on a Sunday morning a while back. I found out that Mr. Zimmerman down in Sanford, Fl. was acquitted of all charges. I don't know what will happen because of this but nearly everybody that is following this circus say that all they want is justice. Whatever a jury comes up with IS justice in these United States and therefore justice has been served. I have to add this thought...there have been dozens of murders in Chicago and other big American cities. Many of them involved one race against another not because of racial prejudice but because of competition for the drug trade. The people are just as dead. Why did the media choose a small town in the deep south? The answer is obvious to me...regional prejudice meaning the big media moguls see us as cartoon-like ignorant “crackers” who are full of racial prejudice...prejudice is prejudice be it racial or regional. By the way y'all, the elephants have left the building...the circus is over.

Speaking of elephants...a few days ago a group of animal rights activists in India freed an elephant that had been enslaved for 50 years...50 freaking years, y'all. His name is Raju. This poor creature had spiked bracelets on all legs with chains attached. The owner did not feed him but staked him out on the street and passers-by fed him scraps that barely kept him alive. The rescuers injected Raju with a powerful muscle relaxer which put Raju down. It took about an hour for them to cut the bracelets away. While this was going on apparently Raju knew what the hell was going on and tears flowed from him and the rescuers. The rescuers gave Raju an antidote and got him on his feet and into the back of a truck. They gave him a sedative and drove him to a sanctuary about 300 miles away and released him. Even though Raju is a little over 50 years old he should live to the age of 75 or 80 in complete peace and serenity. It is interesting to contemplate if Raju knew what the rescuers had in mind when they began cutting away his bonds. If he did, it means that the elephant can sense the intangibles. If his tears were shed in the realization that freedom was at hand, this means he could have abstract thoughts. They must be aware of their environment...really aware.

Yesterday was the 225th anniversary of Bastille Day. On July 14, 1789 the French people, who had been on the cusp of starvation for years, finally got fed up and openly revolted. It was on this day that the Bastille was surrounded by the people. The Bastille was a former castle that was turned into a prison where enemies of the Monarchy were stashed away, many of which were never seen nor heard from again. After the guards and military in and around Bastille saw the number of people involved, they took off their uniforms and joined in with the people. Bastille was literally torn down by the people brick by brick. The king at the time was Louis XVI and his queen was Marie Antoinette. Marie was an Austrian. It was the custom in those days for royalty of different nations to marry so as to keep peace between the nations. Both Louis and Marie were oblivious to the condition of the gentry and continued to live their lives extravagantly...Marie especially liked expensive jewelry. After the capture and destruction of Bastille, Louis and Marie decided that they had better get the hell out of Dodge and headed to Austria but were intercepted and taken back to Paris. Louis was beheaded soon thereafter by an instrument recently invented by a doctor named Guillotine...I think y'all get the message. About 9 months later Marie's time arrived and she was lead into the presence of that terrible instrument. She was told to kneel and lay her neck across the block. She showed she had a little class when she accidentally stepped of the executioner's foot and said “Pardon me, monsieur”, only she said it in French. She also pulled her long hair to one side before laying her neck across the block. The blade fell and that was the end of Louis and Marie and the beginnings of the first democracy on the planet. There is an old legend that when Marie ordered more very expensive jewelry one of her aides said “Your Highness, you are ordering more jewelry and the peasants have no bread to eat.” Marie supposedly said “No bread to eat...well let them eat cake.” No one knows if that is true or not and is only a legend...but if it is it shows how out of touch those in power can become. I am going to repeat that...it shows how out of touch those in power can become. All of you should read the “Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire.” We are following that path almost exactly. Thank God I will not be here to witness the ultimate collapse, unless there is a revolution, then I will regret not being here. By the way, after the execution of Louis and Marie a short, dumpy but brilliant military officer from Corsica began a rise in power in France...his first name was Napoleon.

This is an instance that those that are against weapons possession need to read about. A while back ago over in the Clemson, SC. area a deputy sheriff was trying to arrest 35 year old Jerry Lee Roach. Jerry Lee grabbed a nearby chain saw and tried to start it heading toward the deputy. The deputy was able to subdue this jackass with a Taser and cuffed him. He was let out of jail on bond. A few days later a couple of Clemson students were out in an open field playing Frisbee when Jerry Lee comes running out of the bushes with his trusty chain saw running and chased these kids for a short distance. The Sheriff’s office was called and Jerry Lee was again subdued and taken before a judge. Keep in mind that he had the previous charge hanging over his head involving the chain saw. When he was brought before the judge he began screaming obscenities at the judge and eventually got over to the judge still screaming and pushed the desk at him before he was subdued once again. This animal needs an attitude adjustment administered by me and other rednecks that I know.

There was turmoil in New York. The Iroquois Indians from upstate New York and part of Canada had formed a consolidation a few years ago and considered themselves a sovereign nation. They had a lacrosse team that had been invited to play in the World championships in England. Keep in mind that lacrosse was invented by the American Indians. The problem is passports. The Indians cannot get approval to enter England with the passports issued by the Iroquois nation, they must be from the United States. They do not have United States passports and refused to get one in spite of an offer of expediency by the State Department. The Indians say it would be an affront to the Iroquois nation to get a passport from a country other than their own. They were warned by the State Department that they would not be allowed back into the United States without a recognized passport even if they were able to persuade England to let them in country. It was two peoples butting heads with no positive result possible.

This Date in History July 15

1997 Earlier a man named Andrew Cunanan went crazy as hell out on the west coast and began killing his present and past lovers. Andrew was a homosexual and to this day no one knows what set him off. After killing two men in the San Diego area he flew to Chicago and killed a very rich man that used to pamper Andrew for sexual favors. After Andrew killed him, he stole his Lexus and headed to the East coast and killed yet another acquaintance. By now he was on the FBI’s 10 most wanted list. After this murder he headed south to get some sun and ended up in Miami. After spending about a week there he discovered that the world famous designer Gianni Versace had bought a mansion there and had developed a routine of walking to a drug store down the block every morning to buy a newspaper. On this morning Andrew was waiting. Versace did not disappoint and showed up walking down his steps as usual when Andrew walked up and delivered two shots to the head of Versace with a .40 caliber Glock semi-automatic pistol. Gianni was dead before he hit the pavement. The Miami PD showed up in force but Andrew had fled the scene. A few hours later a guard at a marina called the police and said that someone had broken into a houseboat that was docked at the marina. The Miami PD suspected it was Andrew and surrounded the houseboat at a respectable distance because Andrew had already proven that he would and did shoot people. Eventually the cops heard a gunshot coming from the houseboat and they sent in a SWAT team to investigate. Andrew had chosen to blow his own brains out. Like I say, no one knows what set this bastard off but he is no longer a threat to the gay community or anyone else.

1862 Earlier the Confederate Congress had commissioned two ironclad warships to be built in the shipyards in Memphis, Tennessee. They both would resemble the ironclad CSA Merrimac (later named the CSA Virginia) that battled the US Monitor near Hampton Roads, Virginia. Anyway, the city of Memphis was captured by Union forces before the ships were finished. The Confederates chose to burn one of the ships and towed the other one down river for completion. The ship was indeed completed and set sail down river under the command of Isaac Brown to encounter the flotilla of warships gathered near Vicksburg under the command of David Farragut. Farragut sent three gunboats upstream to intercept this Confederate ironclad now named the CSS Arkansas. The three ships caught the Arkansas near the mouth of the Yazoo River but the Arkansas just blasted its way through severely damaging all three Union gunboats. On this date the Arkansas reached the vicinity of Vicksburg and sailed right through the entire Union flotilla damaging 16 ships as it went. Admiral Farragut was furious and sent a squadron of ships after the Arkansas which was still heading down river. Unfortunately the Arkansas ran aground and her troops chose to blow it up rather than let it fall into Union hands. The Arkansas had a short life but did some damage while still viable.

1953 Four months earlier officers from Scotland Yard are sent to 10 Rillington Place in London to investigate complaints from the neighbors about a peculiar aroma emanating from the apartment. What they found was three women in a hidden cupboard and one under the floorboards. In addition they found two more women buried out in the yard. One of the women was Ethel Christie whose husband John could not be found making him the prime suspect. A week later the police captured Christie and he confessed. Two of the women were not killed by Christie but expired because of botched amateur abortions. Four months later, I said four months later Christie went to meet his maker at the end of a rope. They did not ask if he was abused as a child, or did he have a problem with drugs or alcohol or was he mentally handicapped...they just simply capped his rotten ass.

1904 On this date the Jonson family from Norway moved to a barren 320 acre spread in North Dakota. Included in the family is young Johan who marched to the beat of a different drummer. After spending several years of back-breaking work on the farm young Johan said to hell with it and left home. He soon met up with a man named Albert Dekker who taught Johan the ways of the gun. Johan found that robbing banks is easier on the back than pulling up stumps but he got caught stealing horses and did a 2 ½ year stretch in the Montana State Prison. After getting out he headed to Canada’s Rat River and settled down in isolation trapping beaver for a living. But Johan could not forget his lawless ways. Other trappers in the area complained to the RCMP (Mounties) that Johan had been pilfering their traps. So the Mounties went to Johan’s cabin to look for the other trapper’s pelts. The Mounties announced their presence and are met with gunfire through the door. The Mounties retreated and called for reinforcements. They returned to the cabin again but this time they are well armed and there are plenty of them. They called for Johan to come out and are met with more gunfire. This meeting however was made during a howling blizzard but the Mounties opened fire and nearly shot the house to pieces but when they went in, no Johan. Somehow he had sneaked out and escaped. The Mounties chased him for 45 days and they eventually caught up with him out in the middle of a frozen lake. Johan, even though he had been surviving in some of the most rugged wilderness in the world, he wanted to fight and opened fire. The Mounties returned the fire and “The Mad Trapper of Rat River” went down for the count. When they finally reached him the Mounties saw how emaciated he was, he weighed less than 100 pounds. That is determination, y'all. He was 34 years old.

1998 After a couple of years in the making, defense giant manufacturer Lockheed-Martin proposed a merger with their chief competitor Northrop-Grumman. The Pentagon said “Like hell you are” and the war was on. It was the Pentagon’s position that the merger would make a virtual monopoly of electronics used in warfare and therefore research and development would suffer. Lockheed threatened to go to court and the Pentagon told them to come on, they were ready. The president of Lockheed decided that a court fight with the Pentagon was not in the company’s best interest and canceled the deal. But as a last act of defiance he did not mention the Pentagon in his reason for the cancellation, he said eventually the merger would not be to the company’s, the employees, nor the stockholders advantage. He was a hard-nosed devil.

1941 On this date a Spaniard named Juan Pujols Garcia, known to German intelligence as “Garbo the Spy” sent his first secret message to Berlin. Garbo had an extensive spy network including a Dutch airline stewardess, an official in the British Office of Information, a US soldier in England and a Welshman sympathetic to the Fascists. The only thing here is that all of these people were figments of Garbo’s (sometimes known as Arabel) imagination. Garbo was a mole meaning a double agent, he was really working for the British and the Allies and fed false information to the German’s the entire war. He was so well thought of that Hitler himself gave him the Iron Cross, a very high up military medal. The most important misinformation he sent to Berlin was when he told the German’s that an attack on Normandy would happen within a day or two but it was just a diversion, the real target was the French coastal city of Calais. This was easy for the Germans to believe because all of the upper echelon officers and Hitler himself believed that anyway. When the attack on Normandy came, Hitler would not release the 21st Panzer Division near Caen or the 15th Panzer division near Calais for a counter-attack because Hitler believed the real attack was coming at Calais, thanks to Garbo. The allies gained a secure foothold in France and then it was too late. We can thank Juan Pujols Garcia partially for the success of the D-Day invasion. Later on Garcia received one of the highest awards a civilian can receive when the queen gave him the MBE, Member of the British Empire. He was one of the most successful moles in the history of warfare.

Thanks for listening I can hardly wait until tomorrow.
